“Intense love does not measure, it just gives” -Mother Theresa
Roses and Lillies, Lillies and Roses
Often thought of as romantic, sensual flowers, roses and lilies also are symbols of fertility. No wonder, as romance may lead to a union, a may lead to the desire to procreate and a family may follow. February is known for the now commercialized Valentines Day. While gifts may be exchanged, flowers are a natural way to express love, desire and commitment. Roses are complex flowers and convey the complexity of deep love, devotion and passion.
Lillies are the totem flower of new mothers and are symbolic of unity and long lasting relationships and are therefore appropriate for brides at weddings as well as anniversaries.
In Hinduism, the lotus represents fertility, spirituality and prosperity. May your world unfold as beautifully as the lotus that grows purely even out of murky waters.
